Just For the Kids

2014 Lenawee Fair Midway Rides and VendorsThe fair is a great place to bring the entire family, and activities for the kids are not in short supply!

Fair week officially kicks off this Sunday, the 26th. Bring the family to downtown Adrian to watch the annual Parade at 1 pm. It’s sure to get everyone excited for a big week ahead. Then back to the fairgrounds to check out all of the classic cars and bikes.

4-H events are taking place each day of the fair. You might have a son or daughter competing, or just want to watch. Either way, the kids will love to see all of the livestock so up close and in-person. Be sure to stop by the Birthing tent near the poultry barn to see the cute little babies and maybe even a newborn!

On Monday, come check out the Talent Contest at the Bandshell. The show starts  at 6:30 pm sharp, we’re sure the kids would love to see their friends and fellow classmates compete. Monday also is when Midway rides open for fair week and also Twilight Dollar Day. All rides are just a dollar each and open at 5 pm.

Tuesday is Kid’s Day! At 1 pm, Great Start and Bethany Assembly of God are hosting Kid’s Day activities at the Bandshell. Then later in the evening, it’s Monster Truck night! The Grandstand will be roaring with the sound of the huge trucks starting at 7pm. At dusk , we will be showing a movie at the Bandshell. That is, if the kids aren’t fast asleep from all of the excitement. Ride wristbands are also available for only $15.

Midway Rides will be open for kids and fair-goers of all ages to enjoy starting Monday at 5 pm. The rest of the week, rides will open at 1 pm. Gate admission for those 9 and under is free everyday.

Moms, you don’t have to miss out on any of the fair action just because you have a newborn. In the Merchant’s building, there will be a private breast feeding and changing area, just like in years past.

Pack up the kids and head out for a fantastic day at the fair!
