ACM New Artist of the Year, Cole Swindell, Performing at The 2015 Lenawee County Fair

Cole Swindell

American Country Music award winning artist will be performing in Adrian, MI July 30th for the Lenawee County Fair. Cole Swindell, named New Artist of the Year at the ACM Award show in April, will be hitting the Grandstand stage Thursday at 8 pm on the Lenawee County Fair Grounds. Audience members, be prepared for an exhilarating show by the top new artist in the country world.

Swindell started off his career selling merchandise on tour for Luke Bryan. Some might say a position that’s a far cry from being a headlining act. It was there, however, that he was able to watch performances and learn how to work crowds and perform like the best. He gathered everything that he had taken away from those shows and put it into his writing. Soon, his hard work and determination paid off when he began working with major songwriters, the very writers of the songs he played in college bars years back. He had made a name for himself.

While continuing to write, Swindell kept performing solo shows and opening gigs. It didn’t take long for both his writing and performing talents to come together and create a hit. His first major song, “Chillin’ It,” captures his laid back style with his high-energy show – an irresistible combination for audiences.

Since “Chillin’ It,” he has gone on to create several more hits like “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight,” and “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey.” The latter helped him to win the fan-voted AMC Award. All three songs made it to the top of the charts and were No. 1 Singles!

When performing for his fans, Swindell aims to make people feel like they don’t want to miss a thing even going to grab a refreshment wouldn’t be worth the risk. His leave-it-all-on-the-stage attitude makes sure everyone, including himself, is having an amazing time. He wants them to head home “saying, ‘That’s the best show I’ve ever seen.’”
