Cash-A-Fair 2015 is Coming!

Cash A Fair

What should one of your 2015 New Year’s Resolutions be?

We suggest purchasing tickets now for Lenawee County Fair’s Cash-A-Fair 2015. Only 225 tickets will be sold. The 13th annual Cash-A-Fair will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015, in the Merchant’s Building on the fairgrounds. You won’t want to miss it!

What is included in this gala event?

  • Food & beverage – First of all wonderful hors d’oeuvres will be served starting promptly when the doors open. A mouth watering catered dinner will be ready for you and your guests to enjoy. A cash bar will be available.
  • Games – A variety of games of chance that are played throughout the evening are so much fun, and some result in cash prizes.
  • Auctions – The Cash-A-Fair always has a wealth of silent auction tables thanks to our very generous sponsors and donors. You will have your choice of donated items, gift certificates, gift baskets, and maybe some out-of- this world baked goods just to name a few. Our largest items go into a live auction. The live auction is always lots of fun as bidder vs. bidder tries to secure the cherished auction item(s).
  • Reverse raffle – Throughout the night the reverse raffle is on-going. As tickets are drawn one by one from the turn barrel, folks are on the edge of their seats hoping their number won’t be called . . . until last. The holder of the 3rd to last ticket wins $500, the 2nd to last $1000, and the last ticket drawn from the barrel will win the grand prize of $3000. Excitement mounts as the last 10 ticket holders come forward for the final drive.

What does this cost?

A mere $75 for two! That includes the hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a happy hour and cash bar, chances to win cash, auction items to take home and most of all fun and fellowship with people who love the fair and like to have a good time.

Why does the fair sponsor this event?

While it certainly is a grand party, the benefit is for the greater good of the Lenawee County Fair. The 2015 profits will be used for the parking lot improvements (1/3), open class and 4-H premiums (1/3) and lighting improvements on the grounds (1/3). Profits from this event are vital to projects that we could not otherwise complete. The donations that many businesses and individuals provide for the evening’s activities are essential to our success and sincerely appreciated.
